US Army IMCOM Europe Tournament Celebrates Theatrical Excellence

The 63rd annual US Army IMCOM Europe Tournament of Plays (TOPPERs) took place in Wiesbaden, Germany, on April 27, 2024. The event, organized by the Army MWR, featured a gala dinner and awards ceremony attended by over 600 Army Europe leaders, VIPs, and program participants. This prestigious event is considered one of the largest US Army MWR events worldwide, showcasing outstanding achievements in theater.

The TOPPERs adjudication occurred from February 14 to March 31, 2024, across US Army Entertainment programs in Europe. The Awards Show and Ceremony were held at the Wiesbaden Fitness Center on Clay Kaserne. More than 50 awards were presented by US military leaders and VIP guests, including surprise celebrity videos.

The event featured theater entries from various US military installations across Europe. Notable performances included “Little Shop of Horrors” by Ansbach Terrace Playhouse, “She Kills Monsters” by KMC Onstage, and “School House Rock, Jr.” by Stuttgart Theatre Center. The diverse lineup showcased the talent and dedication of military personnel and their families in the arts.

In addition to the performances, a series of theater skills workshops were conducted, focusing on directing, auditioning, character development, and technical aspects of theater production.
