Command Sergeant Major Antonio Paparella enlisted in the United States Army in 2000, starting his journey as an Infantryman. Throughout his career, he held various positions, including team leader, squad leader, sniper platoon sergeant, platoon sergeant, and first sergeant in different locations such as Fort Benning, Georgia, Caserma Ederle in Italy, and Fort Carson, Colorado. He also served as the CSM of 2nd Battalion, 4th Infantry Regiment, and Task Force 3, Operations Group at Fort Polk, Louisiana.
CSM Paparella’s extensive experience includes roles as a ranger instructor at Camp Frank D. Merrill in Georgia and a senior military science instructor at the University of Central Arkansas. He has undergone rigorous training, earning certifications in Airborne School, Ranger School, Jumpmaster, Pathfinder, and more. His dedication and service have been recognized with numerous awards and decorations, including the Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart, and various commendation medals.
Having been deployed 15 times, CSM Paparella has served in Iraq and Afghanistan multiple times, showcasing his commitment to duty and sacrifice. His most recent deployment was to Iraq in 2021. Beyond his military service, he is a family man, married to Saddaf, with whom he shares a child.
