Lisa Dalton, a talented photographer and picture framer, has had a remarkable journey in the world of photography and framing. Her passion for photography was ignited during her time at Huddersfield Technical College, where she pursued an arts foundation course. This initial spark led her to a successful career capturing iconic moments in sports, including photographing renowned football stars like David Beckham, Michael Owen, and Wayne Rooney.
Working as an official photographer for the Football Association, Lisa found herself immersed in the electrifying atmosphere of England football matches at prestigious venues like Wembley and Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium. Despite the challenges of being a woman in a predominantly male environment, Lisa’s dedication and hard work shone through as she captured the essence of the game, from team pictures to training sessions.
After gaining invaluable experience in the field, Lisa further honed her skills by obtaining a BA Hons degree in Fine Art & Documentary Photography. Her love for the technical aspects of photography, including developing pictures in the darkroom, combined with the artistic flair of composing captivating shots, set the foundation for her future endeavors.
Following a career break to start a family, Lisa transitioned into running her own business, Lisa Dalton Photography, which focuses on capturing precious moments at weddings, with families, and product photography for websites. Her dedication to her craft is evident as she seamlessly balances work and family life, with her sitting room serving as a makeshift studio for her photography sessions.
Not content with just photography, Lisa expanded her business to include Memory Framing, a picture framing service that stemmed from her father’s background as a blacksmith. This venture allows Lisa to offer clients not only photography services but also customized framing for items like football shirts and sports medals, blending her passion for photography with the art of framing.
Family plays a significant role in Lisa’s life, with her husband and two children actively involved in various aspects of her business. From being the “official” photographer for Hade Edge FC, where her son plays, to managing the framing business with her father, Lisa’s work is deeply intertwined with her family connections and shared passions.
Despite her busy schedule, Lisa finds time to indulge in her love for sports, playing netball as a Goal Attack for a local team. Her keen eye for capturing moments extends beyond the sports arena to the picturesque landscapes surrounding her rural home in Hade Edge, inspiring her evocative landscape photography.
As Lisa navigates the dynamic world of photography and framing, she continues to find inspiration in the variety of her work, relishing the unique challenges each project brings. With a keen eye for detail and a deep-rooted passion for her craft, Lisa Dalton epitomizes the essence of a dedicated photographer and entrepreneur, weaving together artistry, family, and business into a harmonious tapestry of creativity and professionalism.
